ABOUT VINCENT
My interest in horses stems from long standing family links. I grew up on a dairy farm where paddocks that were not filled by the dairy herd were occupied by horses. My Mother Pam always had flat broodmares so the breeding side was always a strong presence on the farm with trips to the sales a regular occurrence.
Whether I was hunting, show jumping or racing there was always a strong equestrian interest along with my brother and sisters. When I completed my studies, I decided to pursue my interests professionally and spent the next five years working for Henry De Bromhead, which provided me with a strong foundation and introduction to the racing environment and most importantly it was a great learning curve. There was always the drive to train racehorses, in 2009, I trained my first winner on the track at Limerick with Boxing Along who also become a great success on the point to point circuit.
Over the following seasons I steadily built up my string and enjoyed good success on the point to point scene and expanded my team to include horses for the track. My biggest success to date came in November 2016 when Arctic Skipper, won the Grade 2 Fortria Chase at Navan.
We have developed a successful business model which includes a strong string of horses for our outside owners as well as selling store horses we purchase that go on to perform on the point to point circuit and have the potential to train on successfully both in Ireland and the UK for there new connections. Recent examples including Edwulf , now in the ownership of JP McManus, Milsean purchased by Gigginstown House Stud and Otago Trail in training with Venetia Williams.
